I'm Matthew Makepeace, a Web & Product Designer based in Toronto, Canada. I work with small to medium-sized businesses and creatives to build digital experiences that solve real problems. From branding and logo design to custom websites and ecommerce systems, I combine design thinking with technical execution to create solutions that move businesses forward. I focus on clarity, usability, and performance — ensuring every build not only looks strong, but functions seamlessly and supports real growth.
My path into design started early: drawing, storytelling, puzzles, and math were all different ways of solving problems creatively. I studied Game Programming in college, where I developed a strong interest in user interfaces and how people interact with digital systems. That foundation naturally led me into UI/UX design, where I found the balance between creative expression and structured problem-solving.

Empathy & Understanding
Every project begins with listening. In our first meetings, I take the time to understand your business, audience, and goals before moving into design and development.
Growth & Continuous Learning
Each project is an opportunity to deeply understand your business, industry, and customers. Uncovering what truly makes your brand unique.
Clear Communication & Honesty
Great results and clear business direction come from strong communication. I prioritize collaboration and alignment to ensure every project moves forward with clarity and purpose.
